  • Below you can see how high the water was during hurricane Ike. Upstairs there is a museum that told the history of Galveston and the surrounding area. For the rest, it is above all a place where you can read or borrow books.

  • Just in town visiting. I must say that this is the nicest children's department I've seen in a while. Not the biggest, but the cleanest and best organized. Great lighting.
  • My husband, daughter and I happened to see the library as we was waiting for the historic galveston tour. Was able to catch their yearly book sale. We so enjoyed it,and everyone was soooo nice there. Loved it.one of our highlights on our galveston visit!. Wouldn't mind coming back the same time every year!! Also, thank you, thank you for turning in my daughters new phone she happened to leave there. Whew!!
  • I really love this library, they keep it clean and very organized. Every one is helpful and professional especially the security guard he went out of his way to help me find my car keys. I was very embarrassed and frantic and he not only calmed me down but he assured me we would find them and we did!
  • love this library, out of every library ive been to this is the best one ive ever been to. the things they do with the kids like arts and craft or story time or even story time with super hero's. they also do summer reading programs and you get prices for the books you read and at the end if you reach the goal they give you, the kids get a trophies. they have the 4 floors which works well because the kids can run and also have a limited time to play on the computer while the adults are upstairs not hearing a sound =. love this place and even though i moved i will come back always
  • Best library in TeXas!!!
