  • Worth a walk calmly in this area, has many shops with handcrafts and sea products, like conhas, and stars.

  • Came here to check it out, cost 10$ just to get on the pier even if you didn't want to go on the rides. A little rediculous if you ask me. My daughter enjoyed the rides.  more »
  • It’s a little pricey, but a lot of stuff along the coast is. It’s a small, almost nostalgic amusement area. We come to Galveston regularly and finally gave it a try. Wristbands allow all you can ride....  more »

  • We visited in January so our experience may not be typical. The crowd was pretty light which meant little to no wait lines for the rides. We had a great time and spent a good 5 hours riding the rides. The hawkers working the midway games were not pushy and everyone working was friendly. This was a very fun time and we will definitely so this again when it is a bit warmer. Because this is a pier and on the coast it is very windy. I imagine the wind feels good in warmer weather, but during colder weather you can't get away from the cold wind.
  • Really expensive, but so much fun. I've been a few times over the years and will likely go a few more times at least. Staff is all really friendly and helpful. If you go on cold, misty days, you tend to have zero wait time which is really nice.
  • Unexpected little gem on the tip of the water. Great for couples or groups or families (not for sketchy loners because that's weird.) A little expensive, especially if you're rolling with a lot of people. The roller coaster was actually really good - rivaling Six Flags - and the tall ride that swings you out over the water was so good it was scary. I mean, it was actually scary. I wanted down. Very cool spot and a must-attend if you're in Galveston and you've never gone here.
  • We only had a 45 minutes to see it but had a great time! Rode Iron Shark, Star Swings and Cyclone. No lines, highly recommend going. Would have stayed longer if we could. Loved the beaches.
  • Such a beautiful experience with the wind blowing and sun shining. Many great area's to sit and just view the beauty of the ocean and horizon. Lots of rides and games and foods to enjoy !

Where to stay in Galveston

When choosing accommodations in Galveston, remember that the closer you stay to the water, the more you are likely to pay. Top prices usually get you a spacious room packed with modern amenities plus sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico. You can save a bundle by staying away from the city's popular beachfront. If your home away from home is on wheels, consider one of Galveston's RV parks and resorts.
