  • Has great walking trails and you see the wild animals if you are Quite. Enjoyed taking the kids. Saw deer
  • I've been coming to this park since I was 2 years old with my grandpa... Beautiful trails and scenery with a new bike path in anxious to try!
  • I love Battelle Darby, and I really enjoy making the trip down to bird watch. I take my niece to see the bison - and she loves to explore the nature center. The one thing I don't love is how restrictive the trails are towards dogs. Leashed dogs are not allowed on many of the trails I prefer to bird, so I have to choose one or the other. Unfortunately, that means I often visit other parks. The spaces where dogs are allowed are typically paved and/or in the full sun. The exception is the quarry area, but that is really a long way for me!
  • So much to do at BDC! Hiking, visiting the nature center, kayaking/canoeing, Greenway trail. Lots of space and great metroparks programs!
  • One of the biggest and unique of the metro parks of the city. First thing first. They have a great nature center with lots to explore and look around. Live stream and species preserves being a few from kids standards. Then they have a big creek to look out for just half a mile down the nature center. Canoeing is a huge fun there. Then the wetlands and bisons are worth watching for and of course lots of trails for everyone. They also have a nice sand volleyball court. Great place if you like being amongst nature.
  • My husband and I love this place! We have had a family reunion here. We also got lost in here though which was our own fault because we went off the trail. I would say we were lost for almost 2 hours. Our phones were dead and almost out of water. Then a park Ranger showed up and took us to our car. She was a life saver!
  • This is a very large park set among varied habitat, from riparian to dry prairie. The newer nature center has a flowing creek habitat as it's centerpiece, and views of the bison pastures. There are miles of maintained trail, canoe launches, and segments of the Ohio to Erie bike trail. A wonderful place to get respite from the pace of the city.
