  • Love going to the Thomas Center (and I live here). The rotating art exhibits are outstanding, and both the building and grounds are beautiful.  more »
  • This is a beautiful historic former home and hotel in downtown Gainesville. We were there for a recital performance in the atrium. There was also a wedding taking pictures outside when we were leaving...  more »

  • Charming building with great architecture, great for photos at any angle inside or outside. Inside the building are great period rooms and cell phone tour that help tell the story of the Thomas family and the history of Gainesville. The art galleries house great exhibits and receptions throughout the year with air condition to beat the heat. The lawn and gardens outside are a great spot to throw a frisbee, read a book, or hunt Pokemon.
  • Beautiful spot for events and for laying around on the well-maintained grounds.
  • Beautiful grounds but LOADS of fire ants!!! My word! My pregnant wife kneeled in the gorgeous grass and within seconds had 45 fire ant bites that rapidly formed into enormous welts. Yikes! I looked in the area and saw no visible ant hill nearby. Stay on the sidewalks, folks!
  • I love their free art exhibits when they have them! Beautiful building and the workers genuinely care about the arts here in town.
  • I love spending time just sitting in the shade of a tree in the grass here. A great place to get your "think" on. Art galleries inside the spanish courtyard rock.
