10/1/2016 - 12:00 PM - My wife decided that it was time to visit the extension of the downtown Atlanta Botanical Garden after many trips to there. Well we shouldn't try to compare these two gardens be... read more »
The garden is small but growing. It is a nice place to walk and sit and visit with friends. However there is no place to get something to eat or drink (1 vending machine). They DO NOT ALLOW picnics.
I finally took the opportunity to visit this new attraction in town when my church group the Wisdom Circle picked Atlanta Botanical Garden as the trip of the month this spring. The first thing we saw ... read more »
Lovely place. I'm a member of both gardens. This one is small, but peaceful. The amphitheater is good for concerts. The staff was extra nice and helpful with event planning.
This place is breathtaking! I was married there Memorial Day weekend 2016. I had just over 100 guests, which fit perfectly inside and out. All of my guests mentioned how beautiful the gardens were. They walked through the winding garden path to the outdoor ceremony location (I chose the smaller one surrounded by orange and blue flowers), which set the mood perfectly. The trees gave us just enough shade to keep everyone cool. The reception space has a great outdoor dance floor adjoining the terrace overlooking a pond. Makayla was my contact, as she is in charge of special events. She responded to any emails very quickly, and was so accommodating even though we were consistently late for everything. I also loved the bar this venue offers. The bartenders were incredibly nice and no one had to wait more than a minute for a drink. I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants to get married in a place like the Garden of Eden!
Place is a FREAKIN joke. There's very little to see and what's there is a repeated site throughout the paths. Takes about 15 minutes to see it all. Computers weren't working so we got compd. I'm glad we didn't actually have to pay. Nothing in their pond to see except mosquito larvae. A complete waste of land
This garden is charming, beautiful, educational and peaceful. Great destination. Gainesville has a lot to offer in history and great dining.
Do not have a wedding here. The staff was very rude. As soon as the bride and groom were married they told family members to leave before the reception. Had the venue rented until midnight. The staff stood outside and stared at all the guest making them feel uncomfortable. I give no stars but had to have one to post this.
