Gorgeous, simply stated. This national forest features streams cuddled by mountains, with amazing views abounding. Even better, the forest incubates several towns from sleepy to trendy. If you want outdoors? You'll find it. You want art and find dining? You'll find it here. You won't regret visiting, but make sure to budget plenty of time. There is too much to see in one trip.

What a drive! The best way to travel the region, see the sights, and stop off for great hiking as desired. Don't miss the Vermont Country Store if you pass by that area. Try the deli cheeses and cookies ready for sampling.Get a catalog to peruse later. Also look for waterfalls along the way.

Beautiful, hidden treasures...natural rock formations, waterfalls, hiking, climbing, picnicing, nature walks, mountain, river, lake scenery, family-friendly, solo-friendly... Some parks require a donation or an honor system parking fee. Make sure whatever you bring in, you bring out (trash). Keep New Hampshire beautiful. Do some research. There are several peaks, points and places in this magical place that should be on your bucket list.

The Presidential Range offers some of the best and most challenging Alpine hiking in the US. I've hiked all over the world and feel quite blessed to have this spectacular range so close at hand. There are also plenty off opportunities to explore this area for people of all abilities and interests. Highly recommended for lovers of the outdoors any time of year.
