  • The Presidential Range offers some of the best and most challenging Alpine hiking in the US. I've hiked all over the world and feel quite blessed to have this spectacular range so close at hand. There are also plenty off opportunities to explore this area for people of all abilities and interests. Highly recommended for lovers of the outdoors any time of year.
  • Absolutely amazing views on the way up. I happened to reach the summit on a VERY windy day, but even though we were in the clouds, it was an awesome experience. The Tuckerman Ravine Trail was closed due to ice(we went in June!), so we took the Lion's Head Trail. Came from New Jersey to hike here and it was worth the trip.
  • I camp here often. The campgrounds are always cared for very well and it's usually quiet and peaceful. Hiking is always available and easy to access for anyone; from leisurely strolls to hard core multi day treks.
  • Fantastic hiking, great views and ever-changing weather... What more could you ask for? I've been returning to the White Mountains for over 30 years and they never disappoint.
  • Beautiful are that is an easy drive up from Boston. You can see the majority of the area just by driving around the main paved roads but the real fun is the many trailheads just off those roads. Make sure to stop by the park headquarters in Lincoln and get some trail recommendations from the Rangers, they won't lead you astray.
