  • I have always wanted to see fossils and dinosaurs remains and it was a friend who lives in Fruita suggested that we should check out this museum. My hubby and I were over whelmed with the huge collect...  more »
  • Right off of I 70 - this is a wonderful place for children to explore and do the touchy / feely hands on type of exhibit - very well presented - kids love it - does close early at 4:00 - worth a trip ...  more »
  • My son and I (age 9) went on the museum's 3-day expedition, and yes this was as good as it gets! First the museum. Dinosaur Journey is fantastic, and my comparison is the Smithsonian's Museum of Natur...  more »

  • Very educational and fun at the same time. The water feature wasn't working at the time, and there wasn't a special exhibit like the Sea Monster (Elasmosaurus) . Much of the work is done by volunteers, and it is much appreciated. The person at the front desk needed to be cheered up, but I helped with that. Although much of the museum was built with kids in mind, if you're interested in rocks, geology, paleontology or anything similar, you there is plenty to see and it's a rare opportunity to get so close to real bones not just casts. So much of the museum is based on local discoveries that it is a real treat for visitors from out of town to see the extraordinary about of paleontological riches we have.
  • Fun little museum. You won't see a lot of dinosaur skeletons here, but there's some great animatronic displays, and solid information about the local geology and dinosaur digs. Gives a great appreciation for what makes this part of Colorado so special.
  • Had a great time. Some of my favorite exhibits were missing. Lady at the counter was very rude.
  • Best dinosaur museum I've ever seen. Tons of interactive stuff that you can touch!
  • We got in for half price day, and were very happy with what we got for that price. Had we paid full price, we might not have felt like it was worth it. We enjoyed the exhibits, and especially the interactive nature of the museum. The kids loved the earthquake simulator and the animatronic dinosaurs. T-rex was our favorite.
