  • I'll admit, when I first walked in and handed over my credit card I was fairly sure I walked into a tourist trap. On the surface you see some fish tanks, tanks for reptiles, and a parrot in the back. The experience was vastly different than what I expected. Immediately after walking in we were greeted by one of the staff members and we began what essentially amounted to a tour through the entire facility. The staff member spent about 1.5 hours with us walking us through each exhibit, explaining all of the animals, their histories, and allowing us to touch and hold many of them as part of the entire experience. They were extraordinarily patient with our children as well, listening to their interruptions with style, and incorporating their input into the broader tour. We had a 6 and 8 year old - they both had a blast. This was a terrific experience and it feels a bit like we found a hidden gem - it was perfect for a warm afternoon while we were in the area. Both kids and parents had a lot of fun.
  • This place is awesome. The guides were terrific. My 6 year old was so happy to learn about the reptiles and fish. The hands on parts were amazing. I'm looking forward to going back with his friends!
