  • When taking the ferry to San Juan I had plenty of time to look into the local attractions. I caught a review of the Oyster Farm. So we stopped to pick up some wine so we could enjoy it while shucking ...  more »
  • With respect to Washington wines, the grapes should be better than the wines represent. Most of the red grapes come from Horse Heaven Hills AVA. Based on that, I'm not quite sure why wines were so bor...  more »
  • Nice area but then the whole island is nice. Got inside and when I saw the bottle prices and the charge of $5 for 3 tastings I figured that for $5 I could buy a whole bottle at Trader Joes.  more »

  • So nice. Great wines. Joined the wine club and hung around drinking great wines. Very impressed.
  • So much squandered potential. Delightful historic setting overlooking the luscious pastures of Mona the island camel. The outward charm swiftly wore off with our first staff interaction. Monosylabic, disinterested answers to our initial questions swiftly escalated to direct condescension and rudeness, with a preschool-esque scolding for leaning back in an outdoor chair a particular highlight. General grumblings from the particularly acerbic and mean-spirited woman behind the counter about how the 'awful tourists' had the gall to 'hang around' at the place continued throughout our mercifully short stay, which was capped off with a 'non-negotiable' and unannounced 20% credit card surcharge. 'Didn't your mother ever tell you to carry cash on holiday?' the acerbic barkeep scolded once more. No she did not, but she did tell me not to treat your paying guests with utter contempt. Sadly, the vineyard is best avoided.
  • Stay far away if you're just visiting the island. The woman behind the counter was vocally upset to have tourists at the winery.
  • People who ran the place were rude to us, dismissed our questions about the vineyard, basically mocked us when we asked if they were cash only and then surprised us with a 20% credit card surcharge. Wine was meh.
  • I don't drink wine, however I will speak based on the 4 other people that I was with. The wine tasting was very good and service was friendly, it was $5 for 3 samples. The people I was with bought 3-4 bottles, and the vineyard had cold ones available. They also bought a full case and had it shipped back to their home in Michigan so they must have been quite impressed. The store has a variety of wine accessories, bags, glasses etc. Even for me it was an interesting stop, just to experience and see the process.
