  • Great place. Life is everywhere you just have to take an break and appreciate it this is a beautiful place I love it a lot it's great for walking swimming boating. Eating go there everyday wonderful place. Makes me want to become a nature guy
  • There are flat gravel trails all around the many lakes inside the recreation area. There's also the Alameda Creek trail that runs parallel to Paseo Padre. Although it's always great fun in the summer, you should also visit if you enjoy the color of Fall. Best to come on a sunny day when the weather is chilly. There are almost no bikers or pedestrians on the weekends in November. You'd feel like you have the whole place to yourself sometimes. Tip: Park in the small lot right off of Isherwood Way off of Paseo Padre or somewhere in the residential area for FREE. If you drive to Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area following Google Maps, you will have to pay for parking.
  • Quarry Lakes Regional Park is a terrific way for humans and pets of all stripes to enjoy the great outdoors of Fremont, CA. This space is directly adjacent to Alameda Creek Regional Trail, which will be the focus of this review, as ACRT won't pop up as a Google Maps reviewable place. Alameda Creek Regional Trail runs 12 miles in each direction from the mouth of Niles Canyon straight out to the baylands. The trail is completely paved the length of one side for wheeled things, like bicycles, roller blades and skateboards, and the other length is unpaved for walking, through-hiking, and horses. Along the length of the trail are "staging areas," places where you can park a car, get water and use a basic toilet. Some staging areas have picnic tables. Quarry Lakes charges a per-car entrance fee, and people not wanting to pay commonly park at Isherwood Staging Area - this means the free Isherwood parking can be tight at peak times. Dogs are allowed and must be either on-leash or under voice command. They mustn't be allowed to wander from their humans, or to swim in the channel. This is a good policy for human children as well as your fur babies, as this is one place new bicycle riders go to learn Far Away from cars. Expect loads of wildlife, from deer, rabbits, and cats to soaring birds of prey like Coopers Hawks and turkey vultures.
  • Lovely place and lakes. Took trail all around lakes which is around 4 miles long. Good place for everyone has lots of tables and benches to sit around whole trail with bbq grills.
  • I really enjoyed my time here for the fishing and hiking but there is a lot of feases covering certain areas of the grounds but thats easily ignored so overall great experience.
