  • This is a large, historic farm that has been turned over to the city. It is well run. There is a chance for the kids to see the animals, explore some farm life, run around and enjoy. Lots of activitie...  read more »
  • We went to Ardenwood for a rare bird, which we found with the help of fellow birders. It's a very pretty park, popular with families.
  • I went on a whim and spent a delightful few hours. I've been to much larger and well done historic farms but this was a lovely surprise I didn't expect. As I arrived the last school visit was leaving ...  read more »
  • Ardenwood Historic Farm is a great place to bring the entire family. With a real Farm still being used today and lots of historic buildings to see. Eastbay Regional Parks District has made this place an all day event stop with history and food and historic rides around the farm. Thanks EBRPD.
  • Great regional park for kids who love animals. Super busy for some of their special events, but otherwise not too crowded.
  • We visit this place at least once a month. Happy experience all through, fully engaging and very relaxing.
  • Went most recently for their Harvest Festival and it was great. All the animals were out, plus you-pick popcorn and Indian corn. Fresh milled corn meal and flour were available, as well as crafting stations to make cornhusk dolls. Live music, cider pressing, and quilting also. Word of advice - buy your tickets ahead of time or be ready for a long wait. When we got there about an hour after opening the line looked like it was 30 minutes or more, but we got to go right in.
  • Great historic working farm. After the corn harvest, close to Halloween, you can forage for what corn is left in the fields for free.
