Wildseed Farms, Fredericksburg

The largest wildflower farm in the country, Wildseed Farms is designed to resemble a 19th-century farm. A visitor center welcomes you to the wildflower fields and shares the history of the farm, while a well-stocked shop sells one-of-a-kind flower seeds, apparel, and home decor. Residents stop by for spring gardening supplies, while visitors wander among the garden blooms. The farm brews beer from its homegrown grains and prepares its own specialty food. You are welcome to carry your brew sample with you on the garden tour. Visit the attraction's website for bloom schedules. • Great place to visit and see all types of wildflowers and plants. They have waking trails all over the farm that make it easy to walk and see everything. Large gift shop with all types of items to purchase. The Brew Bonnet store has your favorite beverage as well as homemade canned goods to take home. Live music can also be heard playing throughout the farm. This is a really nice place to visit.
  • We come to Fredricksburg every year to visit family. And every year we go and enjoy the Wildseed Farm Market. This year we were sitting by the fire ,with the cats enjoying our Apple cider. The poker was next to the fire place, so I got up and stirred the fire since it was almost out. I had a employee, who was about 20 years old, named Patricia, scream all the way across the market at me, that she was trying to let the fire go out,and not to do that. She was rude, flippant and disrespectful. I would be embarrassed to have a employee work for me that acted that way to her customers. I hope that this can be reviewed and some action taken. I fear This is not a one time incident.
  • I absolutely love, love, love coming here, especially during the spring when all the beautiful fields are bursting with amazing flowers. The shop is nice as well, they sell a wide variety of stuff. Oh, and do try the wine tasting, its delicious.
  • Great place to visit with young or older kids, great butterfly garden, great flowers, great seeds, great apple butter, great place for lunch, a little over priced for sandwiches, etc, but also no entrance or parking fees, so I accept the higher priced food. But would visit again, would give 5 stars if the sandwiches were not $8-11. But worth visiting. Hour's: 09:30am-6:00pm daily.
  • Beautiful place! Very well maintained. Loved the peach ice cream. Note that it’s a bit pricy.
