Categories: Farms, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.6/5 based on 850+ reviews on the web
The largest wildflower farm in the country, Wildseed Farms is designed to resemble a 19th-century farm. A visitor center welcomes you to the wildflower fields and shares the history of the farm, while a well-stocked shop sells one-of-a-kind flower seeds, apparel, and home decor. Residents stop by for spring gardening supplies, while visitors wander among the garden blooms. The farm brews beer from its homegrown grains and prepares its own specialty food. You are welcome to carry your brew sample with you on the garden tour. Visit the attraction's website for bloom schedules. • Lovely place to take a walk. So many beautiful areas and sculptures. There are also plenty of birds and butterflies to watch for! Inside they had samples of different type of honey, butter, jam, and s...  read more »
  • Nice venue with decent wine and a good band. Plenty of gifts to chose from as well as a great selection of flowers.
  • What a nice place! Beautiful flowers, plants, etc. The sunflowers were amazing! They have a nice gift shop that is reasonably priced.
  • Really enjoyed our visits. They have a huge variety of plants and seeds, and lots of other garden items in a number of different stores. On weekends and holidays there's live music and other fun events. It can get a little crowded at peak times but still worthwhile, and a great source of interesting Texas gifts.
  • This place has a great variety of beautiful flowers. The gift shop has bluebonnet candles, seeds, soaps and lotions. We also had lunch here and it topped off the day. All around wonderful experience and peaceful atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff.
  • I could lounge here for hours. I could shop here for hours. What a beautiful place to be and get inspired for not just your garden space. It's a must if you are in this neck-of-the-woods or west of Austin.
  • This is a great stop on the way to Fredericksburg. They have tons of seeds for growing your own flowers or other plants. They also have lots of things to decorate your home and garden. It's a good place to pick up a gift for a family member (I can always find things my mother likes).
  • My friends and I were day tripping across the hill country in search of Texas Wildflowers. Great place for photos: both portraits, and just for taking beautiful nature shots. There's no admission. It's a great place to stretch the legs, enjoy the flowers, and has a themed gift shop with a variety of items from apparel, homedecor, accessories, books, seeds and more. They're also a functioning nursery as well, and they rent out their space for events. This became the highlight of the day.
