Where to stay in Fredericksburg

Fredericksburg is well known for its wide array of bed and breakfasts and inns. Those located in the city's historical neighborhoods--particularly those on or near Main Street--sit within walking distance of the city's most popular restaurants, cafes, and bars. If you prefer a more tranquil setting, consider staying on a converted ranch or renting a cabin in the surrounding hills. Fredericksburg also provides a number of hotels and motels, several of which offer swimming pools where you can cool off from the Texas heat.

  • A great place to visit during the Thanksgiving to Christmas season.
  • Colorful place
  • As a first-time visitor to Fredericksburg, I enjoyed this museum very much. Like your typical museum, it features mostly photographs and maps of the town's history. What is interesting is that the museum is housed in a replica of the town's first church, or kirche. While there is no entrance free, donations are accepted.
  • Love this museum.
