#5 of 11 in Wineries in Fredericksburg
In 2011 Messina Hof Hill Country Winery opened its doors in Fredericksburg, the second largest wine tourism destination in the country. Sitting on nearly 10 acres in the heart of Texas wine country along Highway 290, this winery also has its own vineyard. The Lenoir grapes grown at this location go into the making of more traditional style ports.

Messina Hof Hill Country also offers lodging at the Manor Haus B&B.

  • Messina Hof makes my favorite Texas wine so far so of course while doing a tour we stopped here. The wine selection was amazing and I found some new wine to love which was fantastic. The only part I wish I enjoyed more was being educated about the various wines which didn't really happen at all in comparison to other wineries we visited. We got to try plenty of wines which of course was great, but it would have been nice to receive more customer service as we to get someones attention when we were ready for our next sample.
  • Caitlin is the absolute best. I have never been apart of an entertaining wine tour where I am 100% invested in every word she said. Super educational, yet super fun. Love it.
  • This was our first visit to this very largely distributed winery. We attended the pie and wine pairing and had a really good time. Our host was was knowledgeable and taught us a few things that we didn't know! I recommend attending their special events.
  • I believe the lady who assisted our group was named Melissa. I apologize for lack of name recognition. Super wonderful lady with great knowledge and professional input. Will come back again!
  • Michelle Mele was awesome! She did our chocolate and wine pairing and is very knowledgeable! She is funny and sweet and it was overall a great experience!
