  • Hostess was rude, pushy and generally talked down to us. Tried to ask a few questions about their product and how it might compare to wines from other areas of the country and were treated like we wer...  read more »
  • The lady who talks you through tasting and whatnot cannot even drink red wine so she has no clue what she's talking about. I must say their Christmas wine is amazing. We bought 6 bottles.
  • So nice to enjoy some wine tasting. Nice visit and a good selection of wines to try. Good to enjoy the wines and support a great family business.
  • I'm not a wine drinker, but my wife is. She has her favorite winery just up the road from Fredericksburg Winery, but as we were visiting the shops on Main St. my oldest son shared a story about a gentleman than work at the Fredericksburg Winery. Him and my daughter-in-law had stopped in and did a tasting and had a wonderful visit (my son never meets a stranger). We stopped and went inside to look around and I wanted to meet the man my son share about. While in the store, I encouraged my wife to broaden her wine choices and do a tasting. While she was tasting, I got to meet the gentleman. Very friendly, as my son had stated. Amazingly, my wife found a new wine she really liked. Three days later, we're sitting at home (Orange, TX) and she opens a bottle of "Enchanted Rock". She ask me to try it and I did (reluctantly). I was shocked... it's the first wine I belive l can enjoy drinking with her. She's always want me to have a glass of wine with her. I just didn't enjoy it. Now I can. WOW... Never saw that coming. Wish I could remember the gentleman's name, I lost his card, but I'll get in touch and order a batch. Thanks Fredericksburg Winery for your product and for your fine hospitality. We will be back. T. • I get dry humor but the guy attending us was a dick and sarcastic when all we wanted to do is learn more about wine. Racist, he thought I wasn't going to finish college bc I'm Hispanic. Wine was good but they should consider being friendlier and less ignorant.
  • Rude and racist. We came here to taste wi e. My Mexican husband asked if he could use the restroom as we were waiting to be helped. The Help public restroom. No public restroom??? Really? I could see the door near the counter with a sign that clearly said Restrooms. Dated atmosphere. Had no desire to even try the wine after how rude the guy behind the counter was.
  • All I can say is pay the $10 and taste first. We bought 2 bottles of wine ($45) thinking we were getting a nice Chardonnay or Cabernet 'tasting' wine. The Vertrag Blanc Du bois 2013 Texas was the worst tasting wine I've ever had in my life, very bitter. The Texitage Red Zinfandel 2014 Texas tasted like watery White Zinfandel. Nnot trying to be mean, but we were very disappointed. Had we tasted first, we would have never bought a bottle.
  • Not the best, but it is Texas wine and they use all Texas grapes. Wish they gave a facilities tour describing the process. $10 for a tasting and keeping the glass - deal.
