Where to stay in Fredericksburg

Fredericksburg is well known for its wide array of bed and breakfasts and inns. Those located in the city's historical neighborhoods--particularly those on or near Main Street--sit within walking distance of the city's most popular restaurants, cafes, and bars. If you prefer a more tranquil setting, consider staying on a converted ranch or renting a cabin in the surrounding hills. Fredericksburg also provides a number of hotels and motels, several of which offer swimming pools where you can cool off from the Texas heat.

  • The staff is so mean, the ambiance was so ugly and the wine was so terrible that we've been laughing about it for months. It was definitely memorable . If you do go, make sure its your first stop so a...  more »
  • People are super nice. Wines seemed to be just average - wasn't blown away. It felt more like a old supermarket then a wine tasting.  more »
  • The tasting fee at this winery is less than the fees at all the other wineries in town. ($10) However, on this visit to Fredericksburg, all of the wineries in town required you to purchase a glass whi...  more »

  • My husband Willie and I always look forward to stopping in and seeing the whole family there. We usually bring Minerva some of our home cooked meals we cook while staying in Fredericksburg. The wine is always great and we usually stay and cut up with them and sample all the different wines. Looking forward to our next visit.
  • When you get sick of the unfriendly snobs on the Wine Trail who care only about selling you a membership, make your way into town and come here. GREAT wine and super, super friendly people. The wine tends toward the sweet side, but it's very good. And prices are reasonable. Love this place and generally detest the attitude you get on the rest of the Wine Trail.
  • Pretty terrible experience. I had tasted their wines before and didn't like them at all, so I politely declined to join in with my friends who were tasting. Towards the end of the tasting my boyfriend and I mentioned that we had met at a bar, and the server proceeded to call me a stripper. Yes, a stripper. Two of the other three servers joined in and called me a stripper as well, all the while laughing. I am a 30 year old accountant, who dresses quite conservatively. Even if they thought it was a funny joke, I found it to be extremely inappropriate and offensive. WILL NEVER GO BACK. EVER. P.S. My friends also disliked the wine.
  • They have such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and I always love coming for tasting, picking up our favorite Enchanted Red, and coming in for great hill country hospitality.
  • Burgundy is amazing... Fun staff/ experience.
