  • I went in here because it was centrally located downtown and my mom had requested me bring her home a bottle of the wine she'd had when she visited. The man behind the counter who "greeted" (I use tha...  more »
  • Least expensive wine tasting around and in center of Fredericksburg but the wine is merely average. Best was a gerwerstremener and strangely a hot mulled wine. I say strangely because it was 85 degree...  more »
  • We liked their wide array of wine to try. We shared a tasting between the two of us and the portion was positively compensated for that. Our hostess, Manerva (sp?) was great. One other lady popped ove...  more »

  • Great wine and a good selection. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. While here we got an extra sample of a spiced red wine for Christmas.
  • The picture they show with how much wine they give you is not true. They verily pour any wine in the glasses so you can't really taste the wine! So if sales are down that's why. The lady already anticipates your not buying . She hurriedly wraps it up . To be completely honest they size you up when you come in. That's a big no no! I've tasted wines at Biltmore, Sonoma valley and more and they pour wine. I would of bought the Christmas wine but she wrapped it up too fast!
  • I'm not a wine drinker, but my wife is. She has her favorite winery just up the road from Fredericksburg Winery, but as we were visiting the shops on Main St. my oldest son shared a story about a gentleman than work at the Fredericksburg Winery. Him and my daughter-in-law had stopped in and did a tasting and had a wonderful visit (my son never meets a stranger). We stopped and went inside to look around and I wanted to meet the man my son share about. While in the store, I encouraged my wife to broaden her wine choices and do a tasting. While she was tasting, I got to meet the gentleman. Very friendly, as my son had stated. Amazingly, my wife found a new wine she really liked. Three days later, we're sitting at home (Orange, TX) and she opens a bottle of "Enchanted Rock". She ask me to try it and I did (reluctantly). I was shocked... it's the first wine I belive l can enjoy drinking with her. She's always want me to have a glass of wine with her. I just didn't enjoy it. Now I can. WOW... Never saw that coming. Wish I could remember the gentleman's name, I lost his card, but I'll get in touch and order a batch. Thanks Fredericksburg Winery for your product and for your fine hospitality. We will be back. T. • Loved the wines. Great customer service. Been there many times over the year's.
  • I get dry humor but the guy attending us was a dick and sarcastic when all we wanted to do is learn more about wine. Racist, he thought I wasn't going to finish college bc I'm Hispanic. Wine was good but they should consider being friendlier and less ignorant.
