Fredericksburg is well known for its wide array of bed and breakfasts and inns. Those located in the city's historical neighborhoods--particularly those on or near Main Street--sit within walking distance of the city's most popular restaurants, cafes, and bars. If you prefer a more tranquil setting, consider staying on a converted ranch or renting a cabin in the surrounding hills. Fredericksburg also provides a number of hotels and motels, several of which offer swimming pools where you can cool off from the Texas heat.

  • The buildigs are being restored to their original state and the Fort will be amazing. The Texas Ranger monument and museum is something to see as well and wben the new construction is complete it will be amazing.
  • Fascinating look into military life in the 1800s. Actually found porcelain fragments and given to staff!
  • There are many recreated building depicting life at the for in the 1800s. There are many, very informative, plaques explaining the soldier's life at the fort.
  • The Scouts had a great time.
