  • Lots of detail about Mary and the family presented by a friendly staff person who also had a wry sense of humor. Well worth the visit!  more »
  • A beautiful home with well kept grounds. I love old farm homes even though this one of Mary Washington's was not actually a "farm house". So much of our American history here!! Very worth the visit.  more »

  • Well preserved glimpse into past of life in Mary Washington's later years provided by son George. Beautiful kitchen garden, simple landscaping including huge quince. Gift shop adjacent.
  • The guide talked extremely fast. There is not a whole lot to look at here. Tour takes about 10 minutes.
  • Very disappointed. Web site and signs at house all say opens at 11:00am. We are here and it is not open. No signs of explanation...nothing. Wasted time when we could have done something else
  • Not interesting, tour guides uninformed.
  • Excellent tour provided by a very knowledgeable guide.
