  • This is a very small town 45 mins from Nashville. After visiting, I found it as #5 on the Best Small towns in TN. I had high hopes for Leiper's Fork and it did not disappoint. We spent about two hours...  more »

  • I'd been wanting to try Puckett's for years, so we got the kids up early & drove an hour just to have some good breakfast. Upon arriving we realized there was a marathon going on, so we thought there was no way we'd be able to get in the restaurant. As we walked, I was trying to explain to my 3 year old that we might not be able to get him the pancakes I'd been promising him the whole way down there. We were pleasantly surprised however to find the restaurant was mostly empty. Then my wife was told upon ordering that there were no pancakes available because of the race.?????? I then went up to order & was told that they couldn't make eggs to order because of the race as well & scrambled was the only option. Meanwhile there's maybe 10 or 12 people in the whole place. Then I was charged $12.53 for some dry over cooked scrambled eggs, 2 shriveled up dry sausage patties, 2 pieces of bacon, 1 biscuit with a little gravy & a coffee in a styrofoam cup. A few minutes later as I sat there fighting off the flies at our table, I overheard the staff call out two other orders for people with eggs made to order, so what the hell? I'm not picky at all when it comes to food, nor do I like to complain, but don't charge ridiculous prices for cafeteria grade food!
  • We stopped by for lunch while driving the Natchez Trace. We had a plate of fried chicken with mac & cheese with a side of greens, and a Pimento Cheese grilled sandwich with mac & cheese with blackberry cobbler. Chicken, cobbler and mac & cheese were awesome. Greens were.... well greens, only so much you can do with them. But yummy plates just the same. Just before leaving the area we went back for potions of both mac & cheese and cobbler for our trip home. We weren't disappointed, it tasted great a couple of days later too. Missed the music but we'll be back through for that soon.
  • It's an old fashioned drug store with a restaurant up front. Looks kind of like a soda fountain. The menu is pretty typical country meat and 2 or meat and 3. Much of the food is fried. Just what you'd expect in this old building, old fashioned type place. They do have a large beer selection. Not many tables. In nice weather and on a weekend I suspect it can get crowded since there aren't too many restaurants in Leiper's Fork.
  • I love the hometown feel. The locals seem friendly the food is good and the beer is always cold
  • Very nostalgic and quaint. Historic music venue. Very friendly staff.
