  • There on a beautiful Friday. No tours. No lectures. No love animals. Lots of school kids. Exhibits were educational but I was hoping for more. A 9 year old learns better from personal teaching instead...  more »
  • We visit Selato many times through out the year! We usually choose this over the Zoo, because costs are extremely low and we get a better animal experience. My two young boys always have a great time ...  more »

  • Took toddler nephews. They loved it. They both got in free. Adults were only $4, so it was very inexpensive compared to most places. Nephews loved seeing the animals and fish. They really loved petting the snake and turtle! Great place to go with the family.
  • $4 at entrance, children under 5 are free. Includes animals native to KY. Visitors were of all ages - infant to elderly. Bring your own food/drinks as there are none offered on the premises. When I went there was a single Pepsi machine that (at the time, but they had submitted a work oder) did not administer change for any bills. Not ideal. Still, great experience.
  • I love Salato. I go here to hike and enjoy nature. The mallards and the geese make the walks around the ponds enjoyable, especially with the babies running around. There are rabbits, chipmunks, and so many different birds. There is so much to do there. Hiking the trails or just walking around the ponds, fishing, and of course the Wildlife Center. There are pavilions for picnics and family get togethers. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.
  • Great place to take the younguns. My grandson had a great time.
  • Well kept park. Fishing is allowed, provided you bring your own tackle, read and follow the rules, and have a valid fishing license in KY. Pay the bit to go see the animals in the back section. Most people never notice they're back there
