  • Historical architecture and American politics. I highly recommend this stop. The tour of Levi & Catharine Coffin's 19th century home is Great including secret hiding places and a basement kitchen with running water supplied by wooden pipe from a local artesian well.
  • The Catherine and Levi Coffin house was has been maintained beautifully. My docent has been there for decades. She had a wealth of knowledge. I'm so glad this history has been preserved. It's a tribute to the brave freedom seekers who saught refuge there.
  • This is an interesting part of American history. Many people risked everything to help enslaved people and this shares part of that story. Also, it is a very well preserved house and a beautiful new interpretive center.
  • ¨it was fun we went to a conservation center we learned abut the underground railroad there was a well inside.¨
  • Levi Coffin is part of my Heritage and I am very proud that my family helped to free the Slaves that SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN SLAVES OR ANY SLAVERY EVER ANYWHERE! My family was Quakers and did not believe in slavery thank God that they didn't. Because I think that I would not be proud of my heritage if they would have been slave keeper's! God bless all!
