  • A fun and exciting way to spend an hour or so in the beautiful High County of North Carolina. Panning for gems at the mine is relaxing, while finding the actual uncut gems is exciting. Afterward, head...  more »
  • Stopped in here for some gem mining. This was a much better experience than most other gem mines. The buckets are "salted" so you are sure to find something. Perfect for small kids or the young at hea...  more »
  • My boys loved looking for the gems. Reasonably priced, staff was nice and knowledgable. Just as good as any other gem mine in the area.

  • We've enjoyed gem mining at this location for the past several years. Zach and Matt are both extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. We have had huge emeralds, peridot, and sapphires cut. We are quite pleased and always look forward to coming back. This year I had a sapphire cut. Here is the before and after pictures. The after yielded two very dark sapphires at an oval cut that were both over 3cts!
  • They are nice and great to work in I love the stones they cut and placed
  • I am so mad at this place. Their website and thejr answering machine says they will be open on Friday from 10-4 guess what their not open. We drove from 2 hrs away. This is the 2cd time theyve done this. I liked it because they have good dirt, not just a pile of rocks like everywhere else. I could cry because it is ruining a vacation.
  • I've been to a half dozen of these kinds of places with the kids over the years and this has got to be the best. There were lots of "finds" and at the end they identify everything for you so there's even a little education.
  • Great fun for my wife, elementary age kids and myself. Grandma and grandpa came too. It's our 3rd time over the years and we still love it. Michael H.
