  • Nice little visit in the history of the pioneers and their period houses (about ten in total) . And in (almost) every house and school, people are there (dressed period too) to explain a little about the history of the house. It's hard not to connect with the little houses in the meadow sometimes... (especially school) . Entry quite suitable at 5.50 usd per person

  • It is a small reenactment of what colonial living was over a hundred years ago. There's only like 4-5 buildings you can go in so I wouldn't recommend making this the highlight of your day.  more »
  • My husband and i went yesterday. We very much enjoyed the leisurely speed of this place. The smell of honeysuckle was strong and amazing. There were not alot of period dressed people but those that we...  more »

  • It was very nice!! I really enjoyed this place!! The workers are very nice and knowledgeable!! It was really interesting!! Great for elementary age kids! It's not too much walking, but a nice trail! The herb garden is a delight! They allow you to take a bit!! It's not overly priced at all! They have a small store as well! Go check it out!!
  • If you have about half hour to an hour to spend and want to see what life was like 170 or so years ago, this is a nice place to go. It cost about $5.50 a person and you get to see several old cabins, a Black Smith, Mill, gardens and more. It is just great to imagine life back then, and then remember how blessed we are to have air conditioning and a microwave.
  • Nice little piece of American history. Small Heritage village in Fort Worth. You can see and learn how people used to live many many years ago. Go here some day, If you live nearby. Bring your kids. It is small, you can walk through all those houses in about 30 minutes. They have free parking lot.
  • Awesome collection of preserved cabins. Lots of signs explaining the history and original owners. Free parking and about $5 each to visit. A huge herb and butterfly garden exists. People dressed in period clothing are there to answer questions. No snacks or beverages available on site. Handicap access available. All cabins have ramps or ground-level entrance. Uneven and hilly terrain, so wheelchair assistance may be needed. Highly recommend visiting.
  • Found this online while looking for something to do today. Figured we'd swing by and i'm glad we did. The staff was great from start to finish. The houses are really cool with a lot of info about the houses and families associated with them. I would recommend this to anyone. My kids had a great time as well and my daughter even got to use an old drill press. It must have been boring living back then but it was eye opening.
