  • It is really a great place to go to the learn about history in the early years. You can walk though it and see all the buildings and what they were used for.
  • Just seeing how small the homes were that entire families lived in and the fact that there was no air conditioning back then in this Texas heat will be a good reminder of how blessed you are today.
  • This is a great place to learn a bit about pioneer history and see what things were actually like. The cabins are fantastically presented and the staff is amazing. They were all knowledgeable and very friendly. The demonstrations are a great thing to really imagine how things were done. I would recommend this to anyone in the area who is interested in history and willing to walk a bit outside.
  • Kids loved it. Very friendly people. Educational AND fun!
  • Log Cabin Village has been around for over 50 years but not very well-known. Unfortunate, because this is a great place to visit along with the zoo across the street. Enjoy a picnic in the park that surrounds the village. If you have kids, this is a must.
  • Fun historic place. Very educational with a knowledgeable staff that dresses in period clothes.
  • My kids love going to log cabin village. They observe and play in history! One house had dress up clothes, a water pump, a butter churn, etc... Lots of hands on play. And they often have demonstrations of candle dipping, milling, blacksmith shop, etc. We have a membership... For us the village is a pleasant alternative to a playground or walk.
