Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Fort Worth
(4.7/5 based on 460+ reviews on the web)
See the entire paper money printing process from beginning to end at one of only two places in the country at Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Take a self-guided tour of two floors of interactive exhibits on the history and art of currency production. You'll see actual bills being made as you walk across an enclosed walkway suspended over the production floor. Watch the high-definition film on the process in the theater, or stop by the gift shop for souvenirs like dollar bill memorabilia or an uncut sheet of bills. Adults will need to bring an ID; the site recommends allowing 30 minutes to pass through security (although it rarely takes that long).
