  • My husband took me here while on our honeymoon and i absolutely loved it! This is not meant to be Sea World, this is small facility that rehabs animals and is used primarily for education. We saw at least three different groups of school children on field trips in the four hours we were there. My husband and i did the stingyray/shark swimming encounter and we were the only ones in the group! The trainer was very knowledgeable and friendly, she even knew all the names of the 50+ stingrays in the pool. My husband loved the stingray/shark pool but my favorite was the Seal and Sea Lion encounter that i went on. I was the only one in group so i was able to meet two seals and a sea lion one-on-one. The encounters are definitely worth every penny! The only reason i am not giving it a 5 star review is because the sea turtle upset me so much. Id like to see a larger enclosure for the turtle or at least some kind of companion, the poor soul looked so lonely.
  • What a gem! No, it's not the Georgia Aquarium or the Chattanooga Aquarium, nor should it be. Very manageable, great exhibits and the staff was nothing short of tremendous. Everyone we talked with was pleasant and knowledgeable. My daughter did the Penguin Encounter (LOVED it) and was chosen to come on stage for the Dolphin Show. What a fun surprise! All ages enjoyed it greatly. We will be back!
  • This has been a must see for over 28 years for our family! And this last trip was the best yet. The gift shop staff, animal encounter trainers and schedulers were top notch and extremely helpful (especially with accommodating us for the seal and sea lion experience since my husband was on crutches). They went above and beyond. The discover dolphins experience was also amazing! Meeting Delilah (one of the dolphins I grew up watching since I was a baby) and seeing Lilly with her fist calf- was a dream come true! I would recommend that if you have about 4 hours or are needing a break from the beautiful beaches near by to stop over at the Gulfarium. It is not only entertaining, but educational and a great way to get up close and personal with some amazing marine life! Thank you Gulfaiurm for making this another unforgettable visit! We will be back next year and we can not wait to stop by!
  • I dont think the people giving negative reviews realize this is NOT a zoo or aquarium...this is a rescue and rehabilitation center for injured and sick marine life..the small enclosures are so the marine biologists can be in contact and rehab the animals...only a few are permanent residents and that is because they are so badly injured, they would not survive in the wild...and the people complaining about it being pricey. your admission cost pays for the healthcare and food for the animals..most of the people working there volunteer or are interns. its like a donation to wildlife. Without. visitors, they wouldnt have enough money to stay openand help all the marine life that they do...and the animals dont all look perfect because they are not..while we were there a badly burned seal came in, and a sea turtle missing two flippers..attacked by a shark.....please dont give bad reviews to people who are helping living creatures to heal and survive
  • Perfect for families with young children. Since it isn't very large, we easily viewed all the exhibits in about 2 hours with our 4- and 5-year-old boys. They were even able to touch an anaconda and a corn snake that the staff brought out. I loved the educational aspects of each exhibit, and appreciated how we weren't hit up to spend extra money once inside the park.
