  • On a road trip, looking to bring back home some Georgia peaches, but distracted by the Georgia PECAN signs. Went to Lane Orchards on the recommendation of the Georgia visitor center. Not disappointed....  more »

  • Visited here in January 2017 with family. Had a great time shopping for pecan and peach oriented items. Many century old enlarged pictures on the walls recalling days of old in the orchard industry. ....  more »

  • This was a great stop just shortly off of I-75 south of Macon. I love that they are very dog friendly. They allow dogs inside the store just not the restaurant. If you have two people one person could order food while the other gets set up at the picnic tables outside with the dogs! I stopped for lunch and dessert. I got the house salad with cucumber dill dressing and it was really good and a huge portion that I could have easily shared with someone else. The best part was the warm peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream on top. Yummy! It was amazing, probably the best cobbler I have ever had! I would go out of my way to visit there just for the cobbler! I liked walking around the store and seeing all the different items they had. I personally didn't love the jam or cider but found plenty of other things I did love. I got some 50% off (I assume day old) peach bread that made delicious french toast, peach salsa that is great on chicken or fish, and canned peach and cobbler topper to make my own cobbler! There were tons of goodies to buy in the shop though!
  • First I want to acknowledge how wonderful Ms. Viola is!!! Thanks for being so sweet. With that being said... I witnessed a horrible interaction between a manager and a few employees. While trying to enjoy my peach ice cream the gift shop manager, Doris, abruptly came into the eating area where we were sitting. There were a few employees working in the dinning area (not playing around) and to my dismay she very rudely and loudly clapped her hands at the employees; like they where dogs or at the very least less than she is, demanding in a less than pleasant loud voice to come clean up a mess in the gift shop. Doris abruptly walked way as if these employees were not worthy of respect. There was no please, no thank you, no I appreciate your help...nothing! Doris's tone was demeaning and demoralizing. In fact, I wouldn't even talk to my dog the way she spoke to those poor employees. My friends and I were very uncomfortable and truly disgusted with how she treated them and in front of customers no less! Even though the rest of my time at Lance's was good this experience overshadowed the good.
  • Just left, we were a day late to see the orchard. It's a great place to go have lunch, and shop. Had the most delicious peach cobbler with ice cream. The staff was so nice. It's a wonderful stop. Will return during peach season next year🍑
  • This is one of our go-to places when we are driving to or from Florida. During peach season, you can watch the sorting and packing process where they box up the fresh peaches. They have great food at the restaurant. The family has always enjoyed whatever we ordered. We especially love the peach shakes, peach ice cream, and peach cobbler. They also have other flavors, if you aren't a peach fan. There is a play area for the kids to burn off energy. It's a few miles off the the highway and well worth the drive!
  • Good stop for a bathroom break or some grub. The shop sold several unique, peach and country themed food products and gifts. The machinery wasn't working while I was there, although I could go up to observe it at rest. It's probably impressive to see when it is working.
