The mission of the Fort Smith Museum of History is to collect, preserve, exhibit and interpret objects of historical significance relevant to the founding and growth of Fort Smith and the region.

Visitors may view a time line of Fort Smith history including artifacts belonging to John Rogers, Benjamin Bonneville, Judge Isaac C Parker and William O. darby, founder of the Darby's Rangers in World War II.   • got to Visit this place the Museum of History, very interesting, and go check it all out lot's of History there, the Hanging Gallows, Judge Parker's court room, the old fort on the river bank.

  • Very well put together. Very historical and organized to take you from early times to later years. Lots of videos to watch that helped follow the history better. So much happened in Fort Smith. 
  • They have a good amount of exhibits and voice guided tour. I wish they had actual guides.
