  • Visited with my son who is stationed at Ft. Sill as an artillery officer. The large outdoor display covered a long history of both American and foreign weapons. It was very educational. Every exhibit ...  more »
  • Definitely took the time to visit the FA Museum. It has displays that tell the history of field artillery from revolutionary days until today. Overall a good place to spend an hour.  more »
  • Joined the Army in 1996, and this was one the 'extra time' we had on post to visit. Worth it. 'Atomic Annie' was post here, the first tube weapon to fire a tactical nuke artillery round, and she's hug...  more »

  • Fantastic History here!!! If you are able to get a pass on base or already have one and haven't seen the Museums the Fort Sill has, they are very much worth your time if you are a history buff. There is a very rich and long history here at Fort Sill. Plan on spending some time there is a lot to see and read. This museum is awe inspiring and very educational. The exhibits are full of historical information and realistic actual US Army artifacts. The heavy artillery and track artillery collection is exceptional. I love every minute and wish I could have spent more time inside the museum.
  • This museum has tons (pun intended) of guns - artillery, to be exact. It's a quick walk through, maybe 30 minutes if you rush. The history seems to be thorough and I learned how challenging field artillery was to move around in it's early days. The museum has detailed mockups. It's a nice stop if you're visiting a loved one on post. Don't forget to walk around the adjacent field museum outside.
  • Very interesting. Worth the time to check it out. They have some very interesting exhibits.
  • Good army information. Really appreciated the Native American museum. The repertoire of weapons is impressive
  • Being in Artillery I obviously would be fascinated by all of this. Inside the building was a great set up with a movie. Outside with all the cannons was fun to see the history behind.
