  • Huge, really huge lake! Never crowded, many access points. The weather can get extreme, but it's beautiful. The fishing varies, of course.  more »
  • Just one of Montanas beautiful spots with a lot of history behind it, There is a museum that explains a lot about how the dam was built, and it was a man made dam. The water in this dam supplies a lot...  more »
  • We were on a trip east along US Highway 2 and decided to detour and visit the Fort Peck State Park campground -- we were not disappointed. This park sits on the edge of a huge lake, a reservoir formed...  more »

  • Old with lots of character. It's rustic by some people's standards. You can pay a little more if you want a room with a bathroom. The beds aren't very comfortable if you have back or hip issues. Even so- the chef is excellent. The owners are wonderful. It's an experience. The bar is small but full of life and fun. If you don't mind roughing it a little it's a great place!!!
  • Was built when dam was so a step back in time. We were in room that had claw foot tub , no shower. No TV, but was nice. Clean but can hear everything, we had hard time getting to sleep. Staff was excellent and very nice.
  • Old hotel built in 1930s during the building of nearby Fort Peck dam. It hasn't been upgraded since. $95 a night for a room with a/c and bathroom. Not all rooms have a/c or a their own bathroom. No tv,phone, radio, microwave. Nothing electric but the table lamp. Internet is sketchy. One one wifi router near the office downstairs. The siding is new. It could use shingles, roof rock or at least TRIM THE BUSHES out of the outside stairway. That was a weird one. So simple to do but not done. The bar/ common area is small but alright. Beware of the noise on Saturday nights from the bar. It was loud and the doors are paper thin. LOUD MUSIC TILL 1 AM when I finally fell asleep. Beds are springy not firm. They were CLEAN. The room was clean. 2 Puzzles of lion for room decoration. Hmmm. Shower was a trickle. No tub. Had to use the common shower down the hall. Sink had some kinda spray on it to cover rust. Paint in the bathroom was cracked and peeling. Food was on the spendier side but big portions and tasty. Service was average. Attitude of owners could be better. When 11 people showed up to eat and we were the only ones there she said "I need help" and went and found some. All in all I say stay in Glasgow, 25 miles away, unless you like true 1930's hotel rooms with it's buffalo board walls.
  • A step back in time, very friendly staff. Nice get away.
  • Super cool must see place
