  • We drove by and it's closed for renovations. Call before you go. It looked like it would be fun, but it says it's been closed since 2016  more »
  • Nice museum. Lots of info about geographic, & cultural Old Florida. Don't forget to see the old train car. Very interesting!  more »

  • Well this was an amazing must go place when you visit Fort Myers.. But sadly has closed its doors forever....
  • Unfortunately, as fabulous as the museum and staff were, it has closed its doors forever.
  • This is a very thorough museum that is a very valuable asset to Fort Myers. The historians on staff are always willing to help with questions if you have any. Make sure you check out the train car!
  • Not crowded. You can take your time, relax and enjoy the exhibits. It should be open on Sundays. My only chance to go and can't get in.
  • A must place to visit! It looks small from the outside but the knowledge and displays inside is huge. Well worth the reasonable cost! I would have paid more. Pretty neat that the museum was once the old rail depot. Loved everything from the endangered Mahogany tree outside to the Highwaymen short movie to the Colusa and Seminole history. The staff was amazing as well. A great hidden gem. If you love FL, this is a must see!
