  • We were looking for a park to bring my 3 year old grandson and ended up at this museum. What a treat! Plenty of place for hm to run, water area at the park. We had a picnic and we road the train. Only...  more »
  • Great train-themed playground in new shape that both my 2 & 6 year old enjoyed. Cute, interesting shop/museum with model trains that were running. Shopkeeper was super nice & helpful. Loved the train ...  more »
  • Stopping into this museum while you await the train ride at Lakes Park is great. There's a small train running around the top of the walls and some good memorabilia of trains with a small gift shop.  more »

  • Small museum with lots of cool stuff. There is a 1/2 mile mini train ride that was fun.
  • Regarding ride on train: I may change my rating later, but I think it's ridiculous that a place can't keep accurate hours on their website. Call ahead of time and don't trust the website, or you may have a disappointed child like us. The park is nice, but not worth the 1 hour drive for us.
  • Great for the kids. We come here for Halloween and Christmas to ride the train.
  • If you are interested in learning about history and rail roads this is the place to be. There is also a train set there that you can ride through a section of the park. A lot of interesting items on show here. The museum is inside lakes park, so it is a stop in an all-day visit to the park.
  • Nice small museum. As far as exposition it's quite dire, but since the places is at reconstruction and attendance is free you wouldn't loose too much. But if you want something more interesting Lionel museum in more interesting. But the jewel of this place is train ride - its fun for the whole family. So if you're near by it definitely worth visiting. But not as specific destination. Except if you plan to use the park grounds as well.
