  • Needed a place to take visiting family for some active fun. This was a great afternoon and easy introduction to Florida flora and fauna. There are alligators in the lake... no swimming. However there is a splash pad for little ones. Many playgrounds for kids, bike and walking trails for families and active types. There are bike, boat, kayak, and canoe rentals for reasonable prices. The train is totally worth the price of admission ($5 to park one car and $5 per person over 5 years old to ride the train.) the train takes you through crafted scenery of local history and businesses as well as charming collections of treasures. Snack bar has things to cool down or you can bring your own in with you. Saw anhinga, blue heron, turtles, alligators and ducks. There is so much more to see... we will definitely have to come back!
  • I love coming here! The scenery is gorgeous, the trails are mostly shaded and throughout the entire park you are surrounded by beautiful lakes and wildlife! The Fort Myers Railroad Museum is there as well, and you can buy tickets to a 15 minute 1.5mile train ride around the grounds of the park, and lots of history along the way about Lee County and surrounding counties. You can bring your children on the massive play structure or push them on the swings, there are toddler seat swings as well. There's also a couple of water sprinkler areas. I brought my 7yo brother here and we had a great day! Highly recommend :)
  • There was so much fun packed in to one day. My 5 year old grandson and I rented a bike and enjoyed the scenery. There are a couple of dry parks and a few water areas. While we did not get to play on the water parks on this particularly windy day, we enjoyed the dry parks. My grandson was able to connect with kids his own age, see so much wild life, both fish, birds and even an alligator. The train ride was a unique and fun little bonus to our day out. Thank you Parks and Rec for providing us with this fun little local get away! Had a blast.
  • This park is the best park we have ever been. The 15 minutes (1/2 mile) train ride is a must do activity if you have a small kid. We also rent a surrey to go around the park. The park has two play grounds, two wet areas, boat rides, train ride, train museum (included in the train ride ticket), community Garden, future children garden and many pavilions for parties and BBQ. This park is very well maintained and has lots to offer.
  • It was a fun time. Good playgrounds. Rented a bike. Great service. There's a concession stand if you get hungry.
