  • Most dog owners wish they had access to more beach areas to allow their pups to frolic and swim. This area of Dog Beach is very small, and very crowded on weekends. The only designated area to "legall...  read more »

  • Took my pup there today for the first time. It must have been hightide because we had to wade through a ton of water very close to the parking area. We got about half way before we called it quits, there was a ton of dog feces floating around and really turned us off. I even saw a guy let his dog defecate into the water, who had diarrhea. Maybe it's nicer when the tide is out but the mess that disgusting and inconsiderate people allow their animals to make is unsanitary and rude! What a shame that some people have to ruin it for the rest! I hope if I ever try to take my dog back there we have a more positive experience.
  • Great park! It's so shallow for so far out, it's pretty much knee deep for half the lagoon. Very small beach but it doesn't matter as you can be out in the water easily. Once you park just walk straight forward from the lot and keep going through the tide pools and hang a right when it opens up
  • Awesome at low tide. Decent at high tide. The beach extends outward very far at low tide, with puddles that the dogs can run in when the tide is low. When the tide is high, it's a little tight with a lot of people. The beach is also far enough back from the highway with thick mangroves that block the way, so you do not have to worry about your dog running into the road, which is nice when your dog is a nose attached to a stomach (Beagle).
  • I went there for the first time with my 3 year old pup and he loved it. There wasn't too many people around because we arrived around 7 a.m. and there wasn't much land to walk on, but he loved it; was very nice, calm and quiet.
  • Wonderful place to take your dogs. Make sure you check the tides because if it's high tide there's not very much beach in a lot of water. Any other time though it's fabulous. Make sure you bring your own water for your dog to drink and you because there's no concession stands or anything. Been there dozens of times and maybe seen two dog fights in the whole time. Usually it's somebody who's scared to death for their dog and won't let him off the lead where the dog gets in trouble. Other than that, the dogs seem to really get it how wonderful it is...and most of the people.
