Intracoastal Waterway, Fort Lauderdale
(4.6/5 based on 1,700+ reviews on the web)
A navigable inland waterway that runs 4,800 km (3,000 mi) along the Gulf and Atlantic coast, Intracoastal Waterway plays host to commercial and recreational vessels. Consider a boat tour--you can find excursions through the canals or swamp areas where ecosystems thrive. The waterway serves as a popular alternate when the seas are too rough for travel and also as a go-between for vessels on major U.S. rivers, like the Mississippi. • In this travel appreciate several bridges with these features, but this was which more I was impressed by their structure and organization. Perfect synchronization between the boats and the transtio is something disgo's experiment, not to mention the work of engineering if that is monstrous, pass and see!

  • Used the waterway while on a boat tour in Ft. Lauderdale. Enjoyed the yachts, homes and birds. Would go through it again.
  • Helpful and knowledgeable crews who seemed to be able to answer any question including house and boat owners
