Intracoastal Waterway, Fort Lauderdale
Categories: Bodies of Water, Nature & Parks
A navigable inland waterway that runs 4,800 km (3,000 mi) along the Gulf and Atlantic coast, Intracoastal Waterway plays host to commercial and recreational vessels. Consider a boat tour--you can find excursions through the canals or swamp areas where ecosystems thrive. The waterway serves as a popular alternate when the seas are too rough for travel and also as a go-between for vessels on major U.S. rivers, like the Mississippi. The inter coastal is a Ft Lauderdale gem. Loaded with on the water eateries and bars it's beautiful and fun.
My husband and I got a chance to see the opening while on the Sun Trolley and the City Bus. Its right adjacent to the Port for Cruise Ships. There are so many yachts in the area. Real nice to see
Took the Water Taxi to see the downtown area and the homes and yachts in the area. Breathtaking homes and jaw dropping yachts. Do on a sunny day.
