You can boat, windsurf, jet ski, snorkel, scuba dive, and fish, or simply pick a private spot on the golden sand and spend the day relaxing in and out of the turquoise waves. The popular beachfront contains over 3 km (2 mi) of continuous public beach, featuring staffed lifeguard towers. Near the beachfront you can also visit the city's renowned aquatics center, which notably contains two large swimming pools and a diving pool.   • there are many pretty beaches in Fort Lauderdale area, I find this beach very touristy and too crowded and loud, go a little further up, "Boynton Beach" Atlantic or Down a bit to "Delray" beach area a...  more »
  • The reef at some laces is just right off shore, hardly any coral however nice puffer fish lumbering around and hardly have to swim at all. Parking is a pain. 
  • Der Strand selber ist zwar eher schmal (vielleicht 15 Meter) aber sauber und flach abfallen ins Wasser gehend. Viele Lifeguards!
