  • They have done an excellent job portraying the history of the 1st Cavalry Division from inception to today. Excellent. I never served in this division, but appreciate the history. (82nd and 101 for....  more »
  • Wonderful museum with a great walk through First Cav. history. Nice gift shop. They have all the vehicles and aircraft outside for you to see up close and personal. A great place to see!  more »
  • We recently visited the 1st Cavalry Museum on our visit to Fort Hood. To start with, there is plenty of parking and no entrance fee. The museum has two buildings and then a walking park area with...  more »
  • Such a great informative museum! Make sure you plan extra time to obtain your base visitor's pass and have all of the required documentation. Well worth it for the educational experience!
  • Awesome place to take the family! The staff was super helpful and friendly. The museum was small, but very well done with great exhibits detailing the history of the 1st Cavalry Division. The outside was an awesome collection of vehicles that was great fun to walk through.
  • Nice and cold on a hot day(inside anyway). No charge for admission. And the breakdowns on different conflicts through history is nicely portrayed. The static displays are amazing. So many tanks. And the only helicopter they were missing was a Chinook.
  • Had a great time here reliving my youth. I was stationed here in 1980. 2nd AD at the time, this place is not even recognizable, the only exception being the motorpools are still there in the same place. The museum was great. Multiple items on display and very informative. Would love to return some day. Thanks so much.
  • Outstanding exhibits, and the soldiers on post were respectful and professional in helping my family and I don't the right way to get there. I really enjoyed what they were able to place on display- way to go.
