  • This is an amazing all museum run by retired Correctional Officers. You will ALWAYS find a person behind the counter who has many fascinating stories to share about their "time" (no pun intended!) wor...  more »
  • Took most of all to Folsom Prison Museum due to Johnny Cash's concerts in the prison back in end sixties. And he is of course also represented, but in addition, there are many different effects, which tells the exciting story of the prison. Drop by!

  • I have to say that the bull queers are a lot more brutal at Folsom, when compared to other California prisons. I wasn't lubed or even sweet talked. Just in the shower, thumb in for a quick loosen then up the dirt pipe. The prices for fellow inmates is quite reasonable and I had many a Mexican gang banger whispering love poems in my ear as theg pounded me into oblivion. All told my Folsom experience was not positive. The food was terrible, the cock roaches bigger than Corcoran and the personal hygiene of my would be suitors severely lacking. The heroin was nice though, and there were only 6 guys per needle, a much better ratio than Corcoran where the whole block shared one needle. I left with AIDS, a bum hole looser than a windsock in a hurricane and a raging smack problem...but otherwise it was ok.
  • Went with my family to tour the Folsom State Prison Museum and gift shop in July 2016! It was very fun and informative with interesting facts, history, and original pieces from the first few years the prison was made, and from some of the original prisoners. Also has lots of Johnny Cash information, history, and original letters and pieces from him and lots of stuff for sale in the gift shop, like Folsom Prison and Johnny Cash shirts, paintings, stamps, pins, collectables, etc. We were lucky to go at this time because we learned while visiting, that they are moving the Museum and gift shop off of the prison grounds, so it was awesome getting to see the actual prison and guards walking around. In my pictures here, you can see the actual prison in the background!
  • At Prophet Ascending I Sincerely believe I bumped into you or had u holding my pocket in the yard but I might be wrong... Just had that feeling
