  • Had a great time sandboarding here. Gabe's an awesome instructor and the price was perfect. :) Definitely a place I want to visit again and again.

  • Drove all the way from British Columbia, Canada not once but TWICE because this place was epic. No other adventure in my life can compare to my trip to Sand Master Park in Florence, OR. The scenery is beautiful, the weather is nice, and the staff were SO helpful (we had never been sand boarding and were a little nervous!) Took a lesson & a dune buggy ride- highly recommend both. Cannot sing enough praises about this place, we will absolutely be making the trip again! Oh, and all 4 of my children LOVED it, too.
  • We had such a great time learning from Gabe how to sand board in wet sand. We really didn’t mind the “bad weather.” And loved this is a sport you can try at any age level and in rain or shine. After the rain let up, the sky over the dunes was gorgeous and we enjoyed the last few minutes boarding in the sun. This is an activity I would suggest for all ages and almost all ability levels. It’s a fun way to spend a day! And the team takes great care of you.
  • I’d give this place 10 stars if I could. The prices were extremely reasonable (bring cash!!), they had a night drop off so you could bring the boards back whenever and the employees were incredibly friendly and patient in showing my kids how to use them. This was our first trip ever sledding and boarding on the sand but it won’t be our last. We will be back!
  • This was hands down our favorite activity on our vacation to Florence. We have never sand boarded before, and we were so excited to try. We had 11 people, and we rented stand up boards and sleds. The owner's wife showed us how to wax the boards and gave us directions on how to get started. The rental includes the board, plenty of wax, and access to the sand dunes behind the rental shop. The dunes are perfect for learning how to sand board. Some are steeper, which was fantastic for the sled. Some were not so steep, which was perfect for learning how to use the stand up boards. Everyone had a great time - from the 6 year old to the 61 year old! This is a truly unique experience, and it is so much fun. It's so cool that the owner of the shop actually designed and created the boards! $16 per board is an absolute STEAL for the amount of fun we had! We will definitely be back the next time we visit Florence.
  • Accept no imitations. This was the coolest thing we did on our trip up the Oregon Coast! We reserved a reservation well in advance which I would recommend. We also paid extra for lessons (and a T-Shirt!) which I would recommend. A young man named Caleb was our instructor and he was great. Not only was he personable and easy to talk to for the hour and a half of our lesson, but he was very good at explaining how to ride and improve your technique. Sand Master seems to own about 4 acres of dunes behind their shop which is all we needed to spend a few hours sand boarding. I will say that walking up these massive dunes after each run is hard work. My calves were definitely feeling it the next day. I cannot recommend this place enough. This has got to be one of the most unique things you can do in this part of the country. You can also take these boards out for 24 hours if you want. It seems like there are many other places to sandboard up and down the coast, but three hours at this park was plenty for us!
