  • You'll want to take along water, wear long pants, and (probably) use sunblock for this hike. We took the northern end of the loop trail from the trailhead after hearing from another hiker that the sou...  more »
  • Great trails beautiful beach and scenery. Can't wait to process my videos and other photos. My grandson took my two son's and myself in his 4X4 Beast. Been long time since done anything like this.
  • Were only ones on the trail in late May. Got to end and had a huge beach along the Pacific ocean to ourselves. Saw sea lions in the waves. Dunes were incredible and a must see.

  • The short hike is not that interesting but the long hike to the beach through the dunes is great. Go early while the sand is still wet and packed for easier walking. The sand gets soft as it dries and walking is slower. Don't be in hurry, enjoy the great views and slopes if the dunes. Morning and evening side light is most dramatic.
  • Beautiful trail to the dunes. Once on the dunes you don't have to follow the posts to closely but can forge your own way around this beautiful area.
  • Woderful hiking path. When you come towards the end of the trees you feel you reached the Sahara desert with just sand dunes. It's amazing!
  • Lovely sites and a fun trek. Once you get in it a bit you feel like you've been transported to a far off land or another planet.
  • My favourite hike so far on the Oregon Coast. Expect to spend hours wandering up and down the dunes. The best hike for this dunes. Oh and be sure to tip the sand out of your shoes once in a while.
