  • We did not realize entrance to the wall would be closed since it is an outdoor spot but did enjoy looking at it from the road!

  • Great place to take the grandkids --to help them acquire a sense of the Trail of Tears. Lovely, wooded area with fascinating rock structure and memorable collections. No restroom facilities nearby. Definitely worth the visit.
  • My sister and I visited Tom’s Wall on late Sat afternoon. Y’all they close the gate at 4pm on Saturdays, we got there in the nick of time to hear Tom’s son share the story of his great great great grandmother’s courageous walk back to the Singing River! Each rock represents one step she took from Ok back to AL!! It’s about 50ft from the Trace. So easy to locate! You park across from it. They will not allow you to park on property as it is privately owned. These are country roads with limited traffic, it’s ok to park across from it. Then a very short walk. Go. Buy the book and support!!
  • Incredible place. Like nothing else I have seen. An amazing amount of work and dedication. Calling it a rock wall is completely misleading. Definitely worth the trip.
  • We were unable to find the historic marker. There was limited parking, it was acrossed the street on a dirt/gravel country road. We didn't feel comfortable leaving our vehicle there but had to cuz we traveled a distance. Once we entered the area it was confusing as where to start. There wasn't any plaques to explain the history or why there was gifts left by visitors, like money jewelry and small rock formations. We were disappointed.
  • When in Florence, this place is worth the drive to visit. A dedication to his great grandmother, a native medicine woman, the presence of spirits are definitely felt. Go on a weekend and meet and hear the story from the wall builder's son!
