  • Need a place to stay 2 nights to explore the area. We arrived at closing and asked us to pick a site and see them in the a.m. She also suggested a site but someone was there (had not checked in but pa...  more »

  • Great outdoor recreation area on the Tennessee River. Plenty of room for parking and a picnic, with quite a few people seen fishing from the bank. Terrain was nice for a good walk by the river. Enjoyed seeing a little family of geese during our visit.
  • Great park! I like the little beach they have also. Seemed like a good place to have a get together or just chill out by the river. Also a fantastic place to hammock, trees everywhere. Wish they renovated Ditto's in Huntsville to be something like this.
  • Really nice park with boat lauch and several other features. Be warned that after heavy rains parts of the park collect water. Other all a great place for a run or any other type of gathering.
  • 90% all sites were underwater after night rain. No grills unless you were on a campsite. Nice river view . Campsites stacked like sardines and pathway thru was bottle necked with only one exit.
  • The campground is located right on the river and is attached to a very nice city park. There's also a boat launch and marina with restaurant within walking distance. The sites were level and all have a picnic table. Some sites have grills as well. You can choose a site by the river with no trees for shade or shaded sites that are a little farther from the river. Reasonable rates at just $25 a night as of 9/2016. I would highly recommend this place. It's quiet but yet still so close to downtown Florence and all the restaurants, bars and shopping.
