  • Our youth group has gone to Wintetplace for a number of years. We stay in one of the villas at Glade Springs so that we can cook our own meals. You do have to drive to the slopes, but Glade Springs ha...  read more »
  • We went snow tubing, which is great, the prices are not bad, the main problems is that they have so many people there doing the same thing, you can only ride the ride about once and hour, which is jus...  read more »
  • We just moved to NC from FL. My son joined Cub Scouts here and we went to Winterplace as part of a Cub Scout event. The group rental line was crazy, don't get me wrong. But once you get out of there i...  read more »
  • The snow quality is usually pretty good and there are lots of fun slopes. The only downside is the fact that it is pretty small, so you can do just about every slope in a single day. Other than that is it a great place for beginners, but if you want more, go out west
  • I have only been tubing here, but it was awesome! The tubing hill is well maintained and the staff are a lot of fun. The food is decent.
  • Really enjoyed my first skiing experience ever! Fair rates for great joy in the diverse tracks. For beginers, I strongly recommend their $20 add-on lessons. The teachers are really good at making you progress, and you are paying to get more than you expect. I went with two of my friends, and we took two lessons from level zero. By the end of the day all of us were able to challenge the cascade blue line (moderate level), no kidding!
  • I absolutely love skiing here. I can't say that I've ever actually stayed on the property, but as for the slopes, they're great for beginners (this is where I learned), and it's great for more advanced skiers (where I'm at now).
  • Ski instructors that scream at kids that are first timers is nothing short of unacceptable. On top of that, one of the snowboard instructors was high as a kite and reeked of pot. C'mon guys! I know it's the end of the season but still try. NOT a place to take a church youth group.
