Where to stay in Flagstaff

Flagstaff's diverse assortment of hotels and motels provides all the amenities you need to relax after a long day adventuring. The city is home to a number of luxury bed and breakfasts complete with jetted tubs and fireplaces. Budget-friendly bed and breakfasts have fewer facilities and are often farther out of town, but boast plenty of charm and character. If you like the outdoors, take advantage of the city's mountain surroundings and pitch a tent at a campground in nearby Kaibab National Forest.

  • Really enjoyed this easy loop trail. Lots of folks and dogs too. Impressive view of San Francisco peaks.
  • Beautiful scenery, quiet. Peaceful. Nice exercise stations along the route.
  • Super trails as part of the Flagstaff Urban Trail System (FUTS). Very scenic and a must see for all people who love nature and exercise.
  • One of the best places to run if you're into that. If you're into taking the dogs for a walk, hiking, or just getting outside to breathe in the sweet smell of Flagstaff, there is no better place than Buffalo Park. Excellently maintained (not a spot of litter on our 2 mile walk.) and Friendly folks lining the pathways are sure to give you the perfect park experience.
  • It's open, green, and a little boring. For access to a boulder field / shallow canyon that ascends Elden: once you're about opposite from the parking lot while walking the circular trail, look towards the mountain. The fence between the park and the base of Elden has an open section there thanks to a fallen tree. Please note: you aren't tresspassing during this route, the fence marks only the boundary between public city and public county land. Don't phx flg! :)
