  • Fire Island and the light house are great places to visit. My buddies and I ferry across the bay and "Hang Out" at the Pines and Cherry Grove. Fire Island is my favorite summer time place!  more »
  • Very interesting and stimulating with delightful views in every direction from the top of the light. Plus, just wonderful volunteer staffers at every turn, from the lighthouse itself to the main museu...  more »
  • Very nice walk to the lighthouse in a series of boardwalks through the dunes. Climb the tower and get a view of the Manhattan skyline on a clear day. The museum upstairs is small but nice  more »

  • I greatly appreciated how the staff at the lighthouse were so knowledgeable and even had treats and water for my dog! I wasnt sure if dogs were allowed here but I saw a couple of dogs in the parking ot so I thought I would give it a try. The staff were so sweet with her so I'm glad I decided to bring her along. The deer were cute and very undeterred by both humans and dogs. Boardwalks and beaches were clean. There is a great vibe here!
  • Always enjoyable, whether hot or cold, with lots of photo ops for enthusiasts. I use a New York Empire Passport to enjoy Robert Moses all year round, and save quite a bit on other locations as well.
  • Started a 3 Day Trip to Long Island NY, to take in as many Lighthouses as I could. First up Fire Island Lighthouse it was Right after Sunrise, the sky was mostly clear, The Color Cast was worth the early Rise.
  • Always enjoyable, whether hot or cold, I just love just walking on the beach
  • Great staff. Fun info center. Good gift shop. 7 bucks to get to hike to the top of the lighthouse.
