  • Excellent place to learn the history of the island- allow at least an hour to visit and can walk to it from downtown.
  • People 3 blocks away did not know where it is. Now we know why. Gift shop offered next to nothing. Guy offered 45 minute tour if we waited around about 45 minutes....sorry we had things to do and mini...  more »
  • Good overview of the history of Fernandina Beach and Amelia Island that included a guide. This is twice a day, check for times. Very few artifacts.

  • Friendly staff. Even had a very polite young man (on staff) hold the door open for me and my wife as we walked up to the building. I was about to pay admission, then realizing I only had 10 dollars in cash any my Amex card. Fortunately they only charge 4 for military/veterans. The museum had awesome displays and very detailed information on the history of Amelia Island. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because all of the scavenger hunt stamps were broke. Also there were some out of place objects lying around. Overall, the museum was great. I love to see a town take such pride and preserving it's past.
  • Worth a visit! In just an hour or so you can get a real feel for old Florida and the history of Amelia Island.
  • Really neat museum with lots to see I was surprised
  • I love historic history
  • Try attending some of their events, they have some great presentations!
