  • This is one of my favorite places to play in New York, and I'm lucky enough to have it just a few miles from where I live. Leave your ball retriever home, there are no water holes here. The course goe...  more »
  • How lucky we are to have such a wonderful and well kept state park right here! Trails are great for running and walking. Very family friendly. Such beautiful scenery every where you look - favorite ti...  more »
  • Cheap therapy. Beautiful. Groups, singles, couples. Love, love, love. Not a difficult walk. Watch for ticks. Check after your walk.

  • Beautiful park to walk. Dog friendly on leash. Very popular place to walk/get outside. The water is absolutely stunning and the clearest in Upstate NY (in my opinion). Plenty of benches to sit by the beach and some benches along trail.
  • Pros: beach, trails, lakes, dog-friendliness Restrooms are clean and reasonable. Showers worked well and include a private changing area. Water spigots are convenient and work well. Camping areas were not buggy, at least during mid-August. Playgrounds are located close to campsites. Trails include posted informational boards. Cons: We were told the nature center was not in operation.
  • It was nice up until a park Ranger who was probly barely 18 years old! Was spying on us! Just trying to have a relaxing camping trip with my family. And this dumb kid Ranger taking his job way to seriously and harassing us. Racially profiling us. Things got heated and my brother got arrested! Thanks for ruining our trip park ranger boy! Hope you sleep good tonight! I will definitely not be coming back!
  • Green Lakes offers a military discount like all state parks. The BEACH is a wonderful place to teach children to swim. No floaty devices or pool noodles aloud. No masks that cover the nose. Goggles and life vests are permitted. Food and a playground.
  • Camped here last weekend... The electric sites are 10000 times better than the nonelectric. But besides that, this is the most beautiful state park I've ever been too!!! The lake is breathtaking!! The beach is clean, the water is clean, the boat rentals are totally affordable, and it's very dog friendly. I can't wait to visit again!!
