  • It's a nice place to visit and take in some history or to walk a trail. The facility is very nice. There is an exhibit, a play ground, and the fort. Bathrooms were clean.
  • Nice NPS historical site with great visitors center and plenty of things to see. The fort is great. The history cover at the site is tremendous.
  • Staff is polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. Helped us get our 4th grader pass and information on how it works, as well as a map that shows where we can use it!
  • This is an off the beaten path gem. Lots of history. The movie at the visitor center was better than most I've seen from the National Park Service. The fort is quite small and quite a testimony for the men who fought here. Take the time to walk the hill and see the Washington Tavern. It's restored to mid 19th century. .static display only. .no active food or lodging.
  • I visit every time that I am nearby. So much history to be learned. The fort is a short walk from the visitor center.
