  • While my older children were biking with my husband, I thought my younger children would play in the playground. The playground was removed last year and has not yet been replaced! Very disappointing.  more »

  • I go to Allaire Village 3 times a year for the Craft Shows!! The most recent one was yesterday, June 27. It was a rainwater from the day before, Saturday June 26 due to severe storms in the morning!! Allaire is a recreation of a Colonial Town in a beautiful wooded park-like setting!! Employees wear period dress, they have a blacksmith, bakery, general store...each charming and manned by competent, friendly people!! They have many other activities including Flea Markets, Weddings, lectures and much more!! All of these are listed in their website!! Every time I go there I feel like I've stepped back into history!!
  • Allaire is one of the most beautiful and family friendly parks in New Jersey. They have dozens of black top and hard pack bicycle trails, a seasonally open historic village, a working train yard/museum and access to acres upon acres of New Jersey's natural beauty. Their bicycle trails run along pastoral farmland, through forests, goes over the parkway via a sky bridge and will even connect you to a bicycle route to the Atlantic ocean. It's the perfect place to spend a day outdoors.
  • We love coming here. The transportation historical museum is really a small gift shop but the train ride is such fun for our toddler and the tickets they print are sharp. The park is beautifully maintained and it's not uncommon to see a bridal party or family having their pictures taken. Lots of walking and although we haven't taken full advantage of the historical aspect yet, the few shops we've seen have been very interesting and informative. Bring lunch, you can picnic in the park. Great day trip for a family, especially with young kids.
  • Best state park in new jersey, all employee welcome us really nice and share history with us. Historical park should visit if you are visiting or living in NJ, Best experience ever!!!
  • The shelters were nice. There were showers and toilets. Also down the road they had a beautiful state park down the road.
