  • Best time of the year. The Bloomin' Bluegrass Festival is AMAZING!! They book the best bands, have great food, tons of activities, and they have a chili cookoff!! If you get the chance to walk around,...  more »
  • I only had my lunch break to explore this site but I walked most of the 27 acres. It was very interesting. The oldest stone home in Dallas County can be found here. There was a lot of older buildings ...  more »

  • Love this place. They always host awesome educational events which are perfect for kids (and adults too). The staff is amazingly friendly. Also, you can get a free tour of each building in the park. In some, you can even play pretend and interact with the artifacts.
  • Farmers Branch Historical Park covers nearly 30 acres. It is like stepping back in time when you visit the log cabin, Victorian house, church, general store, 1940's gas station, and other buildings. I visited during the Bloomin' Bluegrass Festival in October and had a wonderful time! Great music!
  • Lots of free space for family friendly activities. There are recurring events like the Halloween outdoor festival with shows, food, music and dancing. Traffic is heavy and lawn chairs/seating is recommended to bring with you.
  • They take care of the ground here, and make sure that everything is perfect! Great park for visiting or events.
  • Lovely - a nice break from the "hustle and bustle" of Dallas life. The park offers a number of fun, free events throughout the year. My husband and I went to their Summer Date Night in the Park and it was fantastic. Highly recommend - great place for a picnic date or family outing.
