  • This is a nice clean safe beach. Nice place to take a long walk on the boardwalk or along the beach. It has concession stands and bathrooms as well as outside showers. Also lower faucets for your feet...  more »
  • Whit's End Restaurant and Riis Point Bar are excellent venues and are opened year round. The beach is incredibly beautiful this time of year and the views of both Sandy Hook and the surrounding Jersey...  more »
  • Although I am a native New Yorker, this was my first visit to this beach. We totally enjoyed it! Fun  more »
  • WARNING: INFESTED WITH SAND FLIES THAT BITE. The beach is a much better option then any other beach in NY when it comes to cleanliness and not being over crowded. HOWEVER I wasn't too warn you that it is infested with flies that bite, I think they're sand flies. No insect repellent works on them and trust me they are relentless. I'm not going back to this beach until the infestation is dealt with. It's a real shame because the beach is really nice especially at sunset.
  • I've been to alot of beaches in NYC but this beach is by far one of the best! The parking area is not to far from the water. There is also a big park for the kids! I have a 4 year old and he loved it! I highly recommend this beach!
  • The beach is ok , the facilities are insufficient and the showers to rinse of are useless. The police officer working on the Boardwalk was bias and unprofessional. It's clear he felt it was within his right to speak to me in the tone and manner in which he did. It's amazing that police officers can't see why some of the public have little respect for them.
  • Best beach within a short drive from Bayridge. If you figure out by noon that it's shaping up to be a beautiful day in Brooklyn this is the place to go. Now with the bazaar you have good food and some music too.
  • Take the NYC Beach bus! $15.00 for round-trip. It's an excellent deal and a fun beach with a Beach Bazaar run by the folks of Brooklyn Bazaar.
