  • If you are not already a history buff, you will not know what you are looking at. No guided tour, but they did ask if we had questions. Cost is not free, so be expected to pay all little.
  • We were driving by on a rainy day and out of the corner of our eye saw the sign for a museum and noticed cars! This little museum is a great find.....the artifacts that are in here is amazing! Sheer a...  read more »

  • This is one of the finest collections of Civil War artifacts I have ever seen. Also, the owner took a great deal of time to show me around, as well as discuss the enormous amount of research he has done over the years to save camp locations from being swallowed up by new housing developments. He has been called upon in the past to assist archeologists when new locations are found. He's quite impressive. It may not look like much from the outside, but don't be fooled. If you have any interest in the Civil War, you must stop in! Amazing!
  • One of the best Civil War museums I've been to, and I've been to many of them. The exhibits are wonderful, most of them behind glass in such a way that you can get close and see details that you'd miss in the displays of other museums. The folks who run the place are also extremely knowledgable and helpful.
  • Absolutely one of the best museums I've been too. Highly recommended for anyone who loves the Era.
  • My wife and I recently visited the White Oak Museum and could not believe what we found. This is a great place! We plan on coming back again soon and would recommend it to anyone who loves history and especially the civil war. And the gentlemen that were there were great, and truly enjoy sharing their knowledge. This is a treasure in Stafford County. See you again soon!
  • Mr. Newton knows everything that there is to know about the Civil War in that area.
